Rosé of 100% Malbec.

Early harvest. Hand picked.

Nose of Bartlett pear, strawberries, raspberries, violets, and hot buttered croissants.

Off dry. 1.8% RS

Crisp on the palate with notes of raspberries, strawberries, cherry, red plum, almonds, tea, and minerals. A lingering finish of biscotti, toasted almonds, cedar, and orange peel.

Our wine tonight is Spiker Dude from Slightly Askew Winery In Elkin, North Carolina. Slightly Askew claims to be “not your average winery” and produces a lot of unique and interesting wines.

Lime infused Pinot Grigio.

Light golden color with a slight green hue.

Nose of lime and citrus.

Sweet on the tongue with notes of lime, coconut, pink grapefruit, mint, and lemon tart, and finishing like a coconut creme puff.

Sweet with flavor notes of fresh peaches, strawberries, green apples, green melons, and honeysuckle.

Our wine tonight is the Pea Ridge Red from Parker-Binns Vineyard.

Dual vintage blend of estate grown Chambourcin.

Dark ruby in color with a purple hue.

Expressive nose of raspberries, blackberries, Cranberries, and smoke.

Flavor notes of raspberries cranberries, black cherries, blackberries, black pepper, flat cola, and finishing with lingering tones of leather, smoke, and earthiness.

We have a real fondness for regionally grown Chambourchin and this offering from Parker-Binns doesn’t disappoint.

Riesling. – Shelton Vineyards

Our wine tonight is the 2017 Riesling from Shelton Vineyards in North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley AVA.

Light straw in color.

Nose of Fuji Apple, Bosc Pear, lemon juice, and apricots.

Semi-sweet, 3% RS.

Flavor notes of fresh baked apples, sliced pears, honeysuckle, lemon, apricots, pineapple, and finishing with delicate notes of ginger.

12.75% ABV

White Brix – Brix and Columns Vineyards

Our wine tonight is the 2017 White Brix from Brix and Columns Vineyards in McGayhesville, Virginia.

Blend of 31% Chardonnel, 31% Pinot Gris, 23% Traminette, and 7% Petit Manseng.

Light lemon in color.

Floral nose with hints of lemonade, green apple, and pear.

Flavor notes of green apples, pink grapefruit, tangerines, orange creamsicle, pears, honeysuckle, bananas, cheese curds, vanilla beans, apricots, lemon and lime.

2.5% residual sugar.

Sir Walter Raleigh- Lu Mil Vineyard

Our wine tonight is the Sir Walter Raleigh from Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin, North Carolina.

Cold fermented of Noble Muscadine varietal.

Light ruby in color.

Nose of bing cherries, raspberries, cantaloupe, and vanilla.

Sweet on the tongue.

Flavor notes of fresh baked cherry pie, cinnamon, vanilla, and finishing with strong hints of mint. Flavors really pop when held under the tongue for a few seconds.

Our wine tonight is Virginia Apple Wine from North Mountain Vineyard and Winery in Maurertown, Virginia.

100% fermented Virginia grown apples.

Blend of Golden Delicious and Fuji varieties.

Nose of freshly harvested Golden Delicious apples, beeswax, and freshly cut clover.

Sweet on the tongue, tart on the finish.

Flavor notes of freshly sliced apples, apple blossoms, wild honeysuckle, hot iron skillet cornbread, nutmeg, ginger, and finishing like the first bite of a crisp Golden Delicious apple.

10.5% ABV.

Cape Blush – Truro Vineyards

Our wine tonight is the Cape Blush from Truro Vineyards In Cape Cod. Many thanks to our niece and nephew for this beautiful bottle of rosé.

As a big fan of lighthouses, absolutely just lovin’ this lighthouse shaped bottle. We think it’ll look great displayed with the bottle lights in it.

Light salmon in color.

Nose of pink grapefruit, blood orange, vanilla bean, and strawberries.

Off dry.

Blend of 92% Cayuga and 8% Cabernet Franc.

Flavor notes of fresh sliced grapefruit with a distinct tartness, freshly squeezed orange juice, tangerine, kumquat, papaya, strawberries, meyer lemon, key lime, and finishing like a bananas foster.

11% ABV.
