Our wine tonight is the Montepluciano D’abruzzo from Citra.
Dark purple in color, long legs.
Nose of dark over ripe wild berries.
Off dry, ripe morello cherries on the tongue transitioning to notes of cigar box, toast, and black pepper with chewy tannins and bright acidity.
Aged in stainless steel tanks
$7 a bottle
Enjoying this one at the bar of one of our favorite restaurants, I didn’t feel the environment conducive to scoring.
Drinking well now.
I’ve had wine!
