Our wine tonight is the Riesling from Point Lookout Vineyards in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Vintage 2016.

Riesling from North Carolina.

Light golden color.

Nose exhibiting soft minerality, pink grapefruit, lemon, and freshly sliced golden delicious apples.

Off dry on the palate.

Crisp with medium acidity.

Flavor notes of lemon meringue pie, Bosc pears, green vegetables, Granny Smith apples, and soft herbs with a lingering minerality.

Sweet Red blend, 80% Cabernet Franc.

Aged 6 months in oak.

Expressive red plums, blackberries, cherry cola, and fresh vanilla bean on the nose.

Flavor notes of overripe blackberries, figs, fresh baked cherry pie right out of the oven, black currants, red currants, raspberries, freshly ground dark coffee beans, and rich mocha, while finishing with hints of tobacco leaf and smoke.

Nose of lemon drops, honeysuckle, light corn syrup, white lilies, freesia, and gardenia.

Semi-sweet with flavor notes of ripe pears, peach, pineapple, lemon-lime, beeswax, naval orange, tangerine, and pink grapefruit.
