Fermented of North Carolina grown apples with raisins, almonds, and spices added.

Vintage 2017.

Medium yellow in color.

Smells like apple pieā€¦.

Nose is pronounced of spices, expressive of cinnamon and steeping of nutmeg.

Sweet with low-medium acidity and light bodied.

Pronounce flavor intensity showing green apple, nutmeg, and cinnamon, with a medium almond finish.

Indeed it smells and taste like a freshly baked hot out of the oven apple pie!

Our wine tonight is Virginia Apple Wine from North Mountain Vineyard and Winery in Maurertown, Virginia.

100% fermented Virginia grown apples.

Blend of Golden Delicious and Fuji varieties.

Nose of freshly harvested Golden Delicious apples, beeswax, and freshly cut clover.

Sweet on the tongue, tart on the finish.

Flavor notes of freshly sliced apples, apple blossoms, wild honeysuckle, hot iron skillet cornbread, nutmeg, ginger, and finishing like the first bite of a crisp Golden Delicious apple.

10.5% ABV.

Mount Pisgah – Appalachian Ridge Cidery

Our wine tonight is the Mount Pisgah artisan cider from Appalachian Ridge. Appalachian Ridge is from the same group as Saint Paul Vineyards. The Mount Pisgah is grown, squeezed, and bottled in the mountains of North Carolina. Alcohol content is 8% and the Cider is Slightly bubbly with a really nice nose of freshly picked green apples. #NCWine
