Our wine tonight is the Chenin Blanc from Biltmore Estate Winery.
Color of light straw.
Bright floral and tropical aromas.
Semi-sweet with refreshingly crisp acidity.
Layered on the palate with notes of lemon-lime, green apple, bosc pear, star fruit, pink grapefruit, and pineapple.
$17 a bottle.
We enjoyed this vintage, perhaps more so than the 2017 Chinen Blanc from Biltmore. We still feel it was lacking some balance.
WineryEscapades scores at 88 points.
Silver medal worthy!
