Mirey Creek Blush – Huffman Vineyards

Our wine tonight is the Mirey Creek Blush from Huffman Vineyards in Richlands, North Carolina.

Huffman Vineyards is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery. We ventured into Huffman on a Thursday afternoon during our recent Eastern North Carolina Winery Escapade. The Mother is the artist whom’s artwork is featured on the label. The tasting room features a gift shop full of exceptional original artwork and whimsical wine gifts.

This blush is blended of estate grown Carlos (White) and Noble (Red) muscadine wines.

Dull orange in color.

Nose is distinctively muscadine, yet not pungent, lightly floral with hints of wet forest.

Semi-sweet.

Flavor notes of apricot, raisins, dates, almonds, and earthy tones.

Labeled only as table wine, we’d guess around 11% ABV.

$9 a bottle at the winery.
