Our wine tonight is the 2014 Riesling from Heinrich Vollmer.
2014 Vintage.
Bottled in Pfalz, Germany.
Color of Mountain Dew (soft drink).
Nose of spring time daffodils, tree pollen, apricots, and wildflower honey.
Off dry, crisp.
Balanced acidity.
Flavor notes of peppermint, green apple, pineapple, pink grapefruit, and tangerine.
12% ABV.
$15 a bottle.
Looks interesting, maybe it is better as an aperitif. What do you think?
